The moment all car enthusiasts in the Detroit
area have been waiting for has arrived. Well not exactly, but soon. This weekend the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) will open their doors to the public
after days and days of press, industry folk, and charity previews. From January 14, 2006 – January 22, 2006 interested
parties can walk the show floor talking it up with exhibitors like Porsche, Saab, Dodge, Ford, Buick, Honda, GMC,
Scion, Jaguar, Jeep, and Volvo to name only a small few. An NAIAS Education Day will take place on January 18 for
middle school and high school students to learn about trends in the auto industry and career opportunities. While that
seems pretty rockin’ what sounds even better is the chance to meet auto racing drivers during NAIAS Auto Racing day an
event co-sponsored by the Michigan International Speedway and AAA Michigan. Racing day events take place January 19.
