Visit Alien Landing Sites!

Here’s a bizarre theme to plan your vacation around: alien landings.

Aliens go on vacation as well, and when they do come and visit our planet they are occasionally spotted by locals and stick out like a Bermuda-clad American in the Louvre.

Aliens, it appears, have a couple of favorite spots to visit. For some strange reason, they tend to be remote desert areas where an already unstable local populace is less likely to be believed when they start ranting about glowing lights in the sky.

So, if your idea of a great vacation is to visit those irradiated spots where aliens have spent their leisure time, pop on over to Fodor’s where Michelle Delio has compiled a list of famous alien landing spots across our planet.

The list kicks off with the most famous, Roswell, New Mexico–a town that even has its own International UFO Museum and Research Center. Delio then takes us to the Extraterrestrial Highway in Nevada, the state of Wisconsin, and select locations in Canada, Great Britain, Brazil, and Peru. Man, those aliens sure get around!

Oh, and if you decide to visit these places yourself, be sure to pack some ointment in case you’re abducted and probed.
