One of my favorite things about traveling in Asia is seeing the way waterways are incorporated into daily life: laundry, travel, bathing, dishes, playing and, in India, releasing the dead. This photo, taken by Flickr user Michael Joesph Goldst… etc in Burma (Myanmar), captures almost all of those activities while also giving a sense of the heat of the day. The stupa in the background adds a gentle reminder that we are in Asia.
