I’ve been keeping my eyes open for a site that has the full listings for ski areas on the East Coast, so that I can
find a good weekend and get up to do some skiing or snowboarding. I’ll make an awful confession right here. After six
years on the East Coast, I’ve hardly skied a day out here. Every year I head West to the glorious slopes of Utah or
California (Mammoth or Tahoe) to get my ski fix. But this year, I think I’m going to make a major effort to get to
Vermont, or New Hampshire. And so
this page in the
Phillly Inquirer does a reasonable job letting you know what areas are around, what their V is, the number of
trails, lifts and so on. Sadly, it doesn’t seem to provide the amount of snow on the ground, and for that I head to
Alpine Zone, which breaks out similar info by state. The only
problem is that you have to do a lot more clicking around.
