Hey outdoors magazine editors. I have a favor to ask. Can we stop putting Jack Johnson on the cover? I opened my
mailbox yesterday eagerly anticipating the arrival of this month’s Men’s Journal,
only to see surfer/crooner Jack Johnson on the cover. He was also the cover boy of
Outside’s recent October issue. Not that I have anything against Johnson. Far from
it. I’ve got every one of his albums, and I’ve waxed poetic about what a great guy he seems to be. But we don’t need
his goofy mug on every damn issue of every damn outdoors magazine in America. Enough already.
