Snake Catching – African Style

Gabe Little
a.k.a the International Man of Mystery, resides in South Africa at the moment, but can found in exploring Nigeria these
days. In his blog he’s posted a few good shots of the Lekki Market in Lagos and everyday Nigerian life. For the most
part things seem relatively quiet and simple in Nigeria. After reading some of the more recent posts I decided to go
fishing for some good notes on South Africa, but stopped dead in my tracks from this short piece on African Snake Catchers. He doesn’t say exactly which part of Africa the
pictures placed into this neatly done Power Point presentation come from, but my guess is South Africa. The process or
art of snake catching looks pretty easy if you don’t mind tying animal hide around your arm for protective measures and
going down into a rather large snake hole for the conquer. In the exact words of Gabe, "wicked awesome!"
