I used to have a very juvenile, sexist view of bachelorette parties that involved mostly pillow fights.
Bachelorette parties, however, are becoming more sophisticated (damn!) and more adventurous. Women are no longer content with pajama parties, or even trekking off to Vegas. They want to elevate their special night to the glorious spectacle experienced by us guys–to a certain extent, of course. And, classier.
Thankfully, a recent article in the LA Times by Avital Binshtock helps point them in the right direction. Her suggestions revolve around five hotels in five cities which all feature bachelorette packages.
The X-Bachelorette Package at the Time Hotel in New York, for example, includes dinner and Champagne, karaoke, a session with a sex educator, and, among other treats, a mani-pedi. And that, my friends, is exactly what happens at every bachelor party I’ve even been to. Honest!
