Geek Cruises

Geek Cruises has hit upon a novel idea: one week cruises that include three on-board seminars during at-sea days.
The geeks in your travel party can hunker down with Photoshop, Linux, Perl and other technical seminars with a pretty
impressive lineup of industry leaders. Meanwhile, those who are not on a working vacation can get on with the business
of cruising: pools, bars, spas, duty free shopping and of course, the casino.

They’ve chosen some excellent ships on good routes from Holland America, Carnival and some of the European lines as
well. Crusing the Carribean, Baltic and Alaska means that on port days, you’re in some of the best cruise destinations
in town, from St. Petersburg to St. Maarten.

Cruises run from $699 up, per person, and seminars are additional. You can choose individual seminars or complete
packages, running $295 to $995. And luckily, they have a list of suggestions for getting your boss to
pay for it, too – it is educational, after
all.
