There seems to be 10 million websites out there offering the cheapest hotels in cyberspace.
One of the better ones I’ve come across is the wonderfully named EuroCheapo.com. The site specializes in Europe and allows travelers to search/sort by price and hotel class. A handy map pinpoints the locations of the recommended hotels, pensions and hostels while brief write-ups discuss why the accommodation is being endorsed. Each hotel also includes a photograph so you can check it out yourself.
According to the home page, EuroCheapo.com only includes hotels they’ve researched personally and find to be of good value. Naturally, there is a booking engine as well… which always makes me wonder how exclusionary and nonbiased a site is when it is also selling its recommendations.
Nonetheless, EuroCheapo.com (which recently received a nice plug from USA Today) appears to be a rather good resource and well worth checking out.
