Some of the best things we run across just don’t need a whole lot of words.

This stunning video compilation is one of those.

Video: A Few Weeks In Peru

Peru is one of the best adventure travel destinations in all of South America, if not the world. With its interesting mix of culture, history and natural wonders, there truly is something for everyone. Whether trekking the Andes, exploring the Amazon or visiting Machu Picchu, travelers seldom go home disappointed with everything the country has to offer.

All of that is captured perfectly in this beautiful video that was shot by filmmaker Cole Graham during a recent visit to Peru. The short film gives us a glimpse of the people and landscapes that make it such a special place.

Video: Macroworld Of Bali

“Macroworld of Bali” from globaldivemedia.com on Vimeo.

Many people who flock to Bali each year go, at least in part, for the ocean scenery. Unmistakably gorgeous waters unfold at the foot of the sand on Bali beaches. Those seeking adventure experience the water intimately – through scuba diving and snorkeling. The life beneath the sea is just as worth the visit as anything else in Bali. If you need some proof, check out this video. Featuring footage of the macro life of Bali, this video is evidence to the fact that Bali is beautiful on every level.

Skiing Through Alaska’s Abandoned Buckner Building (VIDEO)

Here at Gadling, our inboxes are full of pitches on the fabulous skiing conditions in Colorado and Utah, but news about the latest lifts and bases rarely sparks our interest. You know what does? Setting up an obstacle course in an abandoned building. That does.

To create the video above, Logan Imlach and Matt Wild spent six days constructing and skiing a line through the infamous Buckner Building in Whittier, Alaska. Once Alaska’s largest building, during its heyday in the 1950s the Buckner Building was called a “city under one roof.” It housed 1,000 apartments, plus a movie theater, bowling alley, pool, gym and shops. The building was seriously damaged in the 1964 Alaska earthquake, which rang a 9.2 on the Richter magnitude scale. Today, it’s just a large, abandoned government building, ripe for some creative folks like Imlach and Wild to make their snowy playground.

Although there is a potentially dangerous amount of asbestos in the five-story building – not to mention its questionable structural integrity – the Buckner Building has become somewhat of a landmark for local kids and tourists in Whittier. We’re not saying we recommend building an obstacle course of your own inside the building, but we sure are glad someone did.

Video: Attempting A U-Turn In Naples, Italy … Bad Idea Or Community Bonding Exercise?

A driver attempting a U-turn on a narrow Naples street got by with a little help from his friends this week. We couldn’t help but laugh at this unintentionally hilarious video that shows what happens when neighbors, police, and even a clergyman join in to help the driver complete his u-turn.

Also, we’re fairly sure that something like this could never, ever happen in America. Unless, of course, you’re Austin Powers.
