British Airways Bans Snoop Doggy Dog & Friends

So obviously this is old news in the celebrity gossip circuit, but I’m spending a day catching up after a week of being under the weather. West coast rapper, Snoop Doggy Dog and his posse have been placed in the dog house by British Airways after a recent scuffle in London’s Heathrow Airport. Apparently some of Snoop’s entourage couldn’t get into the British Airways’ exclusive first class lounge because they were riding on economy class and things got out of hand when they tried to force themselves into the lounge. The brawl that took place involved some 30 people where seven police officers received cuts, bruises and minor injuries. When commenting on the reason the airlines decided to offload the party and refuse travel, Richard Goodfellow, a spokesperson for BA said, “That sort of behavior will not  tolerated.”

Good for British Airways and bad dog, Snoop Dog! To say that the rapper and his crew should have known better is just an understatement. Grown men causing that kind of fuss over hanging in an exclusive lounge is just plain silly. See USA Today for further details.

Spa like a rock star

Want to holiday where the beautiful people
holiday?  Concierge.com is currently featuring a list of some of the favourite spas of your favourite celebrities
— including the vacation love nests of Will Smith & Jada Pinkett Smith, as well as Teri Hatcher and Martha Stewart
(oh come on, as if you wouldn’t want a bit of pampering after getting out of prison).

Personally, I’m
digging COMO Shambhala at Parrot Cay in
Turks & Caicos
— especially since it’s a place I’ve always wanted to visit.  Maybe one day… and I
refuse to let the fact that Whitney Houston and Britney Spears also love it deter me.

Transylvania International Film Festival

It always does me
great pleasure to step out and away from the places I only dream of voyaging to one day to share with you my personal
thoughts on places I have seen with my own two. This happens to be the case today with Cluj-Napoca, Romania. This year
marks the 5th edition of the Transylvania International Film
Festival
to be held June 2-11, 2006 in the Eastern European university town filled with amazing, rich history,
people, inexpensive food and culture. Though I have not experienced the festival itself in Cluj-Napoca, I can only tell
you checking out local cinema is
bound to be an experience beyond phenomenal. The website is slowly but surely updating info on the schedule for this
year’s event, but just so you’ll have an idea of what’s in store see what occurred last year.

If you’re
thinking along the likes of Bram Stoker, Anne Rice or those missed episodes of Buffy stick to the states and
search for YouTube clips. Romania is so much more than the folklore.

Space Tourism Training

If you thought
the 840-something vaccinations needed to go certain places in Asia and Africa was outrageous enough to keep you from
ever stepping foot on either continent or far too draining to endure before reaching the final destination imagine the
training involved before going into orbit. Seems many of you are rather excited and hopeful about touring the galaxy
one day when, say Richard
Branson’s Virgin Galactic
drops prices to those similar to Southwest flights. That’s awesome! Rock on and good luck
to you.

My question now is are you cut out for it? You couldn’t have thought they were just going to seat you
in a shuttle and fling you out into the cosmos? Did you? I’m sure we mentioned this CNET news piece somewhere in the past,
but as a refresher I thought to mention again, just in case. For those seriously considering travel to space now is the
to start training and for that you may wish to travel to Singapore first.

A while
back Space Adventures announced its plans to build a space station on the small island nation with a Singapore-based
consortium. The space port will offer suborbital flights, operate astronaut training facilities and will also be an
educational visiting center for the public. Prospective space tourists can get a glimpse and understanding of the
forces experienced during the rocket launch. Medical and physical ability will be tested
and includes a simulated water landing. This is just the tip of the comet people, to see more of what’s require
