I was doing some looking around today at the MANY MANY travel blogs out there and I was
reminded that it is Oktoberfest time. Here’s a great
little blog about what’s doing in Munchen. Having been to Germany and I have several German friends who themselves
are beer snobs, I had to laugh at the joke the writer posted which goes as follows:
A Brit, and American and a German go to a bar. The Brit orders a Harp, the American a Budweiser and the German a
coke. The other two asked the German why aren’t you having a beer. He replied “Well if you aren’t having a beer than
I’m not either.”
OK, perhaps not the best joke in the world. But the Germans are not known for their sense of humor.
