HorizonZero – great new Web publication

We spend a good deal of time scouring the Web for what’s new, useful and unusual, but we
also have a particular fondness for sites that have an engaged travel mindset AND who use technology to tell a great
story. And so today we offer a link to this wonderful new
magazine from Canada Called HorizonZero
, which has multimedia stories from Canada that are superb. There are small
interactive documentaries about Candian culture, fashion and indigenous people, as well as historical featues.
Some of them verge on being too artsy, but the design and organization is quite impressive. Here’s what the magazine
has to say about itself:

HorizonZero is a collaboration between The Banff New Media Institute and the Culture.ca
gateway, with the objective of disseminating to the public the rich array of digital arts and culture in Canada with
an emphasis on commissioning and promoting Canadian new media content and innovators in the convergent fields of
science, technology, media arts, and research.

You will need Flash (and you should have it anyway). But spend some time cruising through the stories. You
won’t regret it.
