SeatGuru – Sitting Pretty

With discount airlines driving the majors to reduce costs, and in some cases,
even add seats (thus cutting back on legroom), you
might be interested in
SeatGuru.com. The site, calling
itself the “enlightened guide to airline seating”  provides detailed information about almost every airline plane
imaginable. Want to know the pitch of seats in first class versus coach? Or know if there’s an adaptor by your seat so
you can plug in your laptop? What type of phone service can you get and how many channels of audio (assuming you listen
to the crappy airplane audio) do you get. The site breaks out all this stuff for you in neat little illustrations and
rollover copy. I’m actually flying soon and found the site, if not useful (since I already bought my seat), then
at least very interesting, since I noticed that my seat has a bad view of the TV monitor.
