There are museums for just about everything these days. Very
strange ones, in fact. So it should come as no
surprise that there is a museum of surfing. You might think the
Museum of Surfing would be in Hawaii, where the sport
was invented, but not so. Your second guess, however, would probably be right: California. Huntington Beach, to be
exact.
Exhibits are dedicated to surf films like Endless Summer, surf music (all Hail the Ventures and Dick Dale!), classic
surf boards as well as surfing legends like Corky Carroll (pictured). It doesn’t appear from the online compoenent that
it’s the most impressive museum in the world, but could make a nice hour long visit after a trip
