Here’s something a little different. Dog sled racing.
If you’re heading to Utah later this month, you might consider catching the International Pedigree Stage Stop
Sled Dog Race. The largest sled dog race in the lower 48 (Iditarod is
bigger) expanded its route this year with a final stage stop in Park City (which nicely overlaps with
Sundance…I wonder how they’re going to handle that,
what with all the celebrity fur. You’d think the dogs might get a little freaked out).
Dates for the 2005 race are January 28th through February 5th with the race kick off at the Jackson Hole Winter
Carnival, then continuing on through the week with stage stops in Lander, Pinedale, Alpine, Kemmerer, and
Evanston/Mountain View/Lyman, Wyoming before concluding in Park City.
