Who knew? Say you’ve bought that season pass at
Vail – which, I might add can run you well over a thousand
smackers - but sadly you break a leg. Or get sick. Or land that job in the tropics. Can you get your money back
for all that unused ski time? Apparently so. According to
this piece in Outside.com, you can actually get
lift ticket insurance from
Skier Insurance Services. The cost of the insurance is six percent of the season pass, but this also comes with $15,000
in emergency evacuation insurance and $10,000 of accidental death/dismemberment coverage.
Again: who knew?
