The other day I was playing my guitar (I suck, by the way), and as
I tried to pull a Townsendian windmill in the middle of my rendition of Pinball Wizard, my knuckles smacked the top of
my guitar and brought a swift and painful end to a rather disappointing solo jam session. Alas, if only I’d been to the
Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp.
But wait, there’s still a chance to go. This February, the camp is offering Slash-wannabees the opportunity to
practice and jam with legendary names in rock and roll like Roger Daltrey, Nils Lofgren (E
Street Band) and Colin Hay (remember Men at Work? Of course you do.) This is serious business, and the course
costs some serious dough (eight grand for five days and nights), but can you really put a price on learning from the
real deal?
