No Mas Fumar?

For a non-smoker travelling in Europe, and many other places, can be challenging. I remember checking into my hotel in Madrid. The first greeting I received from the hotel concierge – “Que?” followed by a puff of smoke. Gag me with a spoon! When USA Today posted their article on the bans placed against those wicked little sticks in Europe, I had to read on for more. Sure enough many countries in Europe have set a new ban against smoking in bars and restaurants. Ireland, Scotland and Norway placed bans on smoking in eateries, while France and Germany hold partial bans on the smokes. Italy’s full out ban hit the streets hard with fines up to $3,000 for places that don’t comply. Other countries also looking to participate in the prohibition include Britain and Spain. I for one think this is amazing news – tell me what you guys think.
