Looking for a nice calming day trip? Wishing to smell the scattered wildflower? Park rangers in
Death Valley National Park have noticed a few
flowers in bloom, a bit early in fact. The
LA Times has the scoop on
California’s deserts, hopes of a promising wildflower season, and all the crazy weather that caused it.
Some of the few desert beauties spotted in Death Valley include, desert gold, purple sand verbena, and brown-eyed
evening primrose. The Anzo-Borrego Desert State Park
claims to have a couple of its own springing up, but not too many. Stopping by the visitor center is
recommended if heading out to check out the flowers. Sounds alright to me!
