I’ve been blabbling about the amazing ski conditions
out West and was chastised more than once by readers for neglecting to mention how some places have hardly seen a flake
fall from the sky. While the high Sierras are more loaded than a sailor on leave, places like Whistler, British
Columbia, are dreaming of the snowdens of yesteryear. In Montana, the famous
Race to the Sky dogsled race has actually been
canceled due to lack of snow fall. Crews have been doing everything short of human sacrifice to get snow conditions up
to snuff, but to no avail. So if you were planning to head to Big Sky country for the race. Better think
again.
