Looks like the Bush administration has some mega plans for the travel industry and business travelers might get hit the most.
Word in the Tampa Tribune states the proposals, which
still have to be approved by Congress, could possibly increase airline ticket prices $3 each way and passenger security
fees to $5.50 per leg. Overtime, anyone with big or small travel plans could feel a pinch and I’m sure
the administration did their math well.
The fun doesn’t stop there, they’ve also got some plans laid out for Amtrak. Seeing that they were shot down
once by Congress we’ll hope they’ll do it again. For Amtrak’s sake at the very least.
