Music and Italy-lovers unite. The Ravello Music
Festival, one of the world’s great showcases for symphonic and chamber music (sorry, accordion players not
allowed…but bring your cow bell!). This year’s event runs March 9 through mid-October, with a summer break in
August. The setting for the festival is, well, perfect. Off of Ravello’s main piazza is Villa Rufolo, a castle
built in the 1200s by Senor Landolfo Rufolo, sort of an investment banker of his day. This could be the only
reason you need to take advantage of cheap flights to Italy.
