Santeria Travel Sort of Suspicious

The Miami Herald has interesting story on
some fishy religious trips being made to
Cuba.  Groups practicing the Afro-Cuban religion Santeria are being watched closely as there seems to be
an increase in members visiting the island.  The Bush administration limits exile’s trips to Cuba from once every
year to once every three years, but a Santero can go just about anytime provided they have a religious travel license
and for legitimate religious reasons.  Fears that people are abusing religious rights sends a red flag and other
messages to the U.S. Treasury Department.  With few ways to get to Cuba these days, it shows how far people will
go to see their families, have a good time or just break the rules.  Sounds not to ‘bueno’.
