Adventurer Steve Fossett soared off
into the wild blue yonder today in
an attempt to become the first person to complete a solo trip around the world in an airplane without making a
single stop.
You might remember him. Fossett holds the record as the the first person to circle the globe solo in a
balloon. His plane, called the GlobalFlyer skipped off the tarmac today of the Salina Municipal
Airport to start a mind-blowing 66-hour journey aournd the globe.
