This weekend I read David Foster Wallace’s newest
piece in the Atlantic about talk radio and, as always, was blown away by this writer’s wit and intelligence (never
mind that it has NOTHING to do with travel). BUT! The article reminded me to go in search of
one of his earlier pieces on a
cruise ship excursion he took that became one of the articles included in his book A Supposedly Fun Thing I’ll Never Do
Again. If you have a half-hour to spare (it, like most of his work, is quite long), read this and get ready to laugh
your a%$ off.
