Sightseeing Author on NPR

Jen Leo over at Written Road
once raved about this guy and his book,
Sightseeing, which is all about Thailand and aspects of that country that you probably don’t know very well. (surprise:
yes, there is more to Thailand than Pad Thai and Soi Cowboy).  He writes about class struggles, street gangs and
innkeepers who mistrust westerners. All good stuff. In
this NPR piece, the writer, Rattawut
Lapcharoensap reads from “Farangs,” one of the stories in his award-winning collection. I actually read this story way
back when in Granta and quite liked it. Give a listen.
