On Taking Fewer Pictures

The SF Chonicle’s John Flinn
has a sassy little piece (sassy!) on the virtues of not taking so many damn pictures during your trips. You, with the
camera! Pay attention!

See what he means? We’re all so busy snapping photos we’re not really tuning in to the world around us. And more,
Flinn says, who’s really going to look at these photos anyway? Don’t you know most people hate it when you show them
photos? Remember when your grandparents wanted to show you their slide shows from the olden days? That’s what it’s like
for a lot of us now with your little PDF slideshows and Flikr accounts. Bah!

Just kidding. I personally don’t mind looking at others photos. I moderation, of course.
