Michael Kohn in Israel

Lonely Planet writer, Michael Kohn is traveling through Israel now and has posted a few insightful

pieces on his discoveries thus far.  In one of his blogs he touches on what he
calls the

‘Israeli Stamp Stigma.’
He describes his experience going through border patrol leaving Jordan and entering
Israel.  I noticed I had been holding my breath for while when reading his blog.  After an hour long wait
(which is summed up nicely) of checking his status they let him through.  Finally, I exhaled.

I love reading stories like these.  Anyone who has ever traveled internationally has to have a border patrol
story.  With Michael’s I found out several things about traveling in sensitive Middle-Eastern countries
that I did not know.  I thought it was a cool quick piece to read seeing how our own borders will be
tightening up soon.
