Colbert’s Nomadic Museum

Some events are worth special field trips, weekend trips, weeklong trips, etc. and if I had to pick
one that was worthy of your time Gregory Colbert, a traveling photographer and filmmaker’s
‘Nomadic Museum’ seems quite possibly worth
the hype.  NPR showcases some great pieces of his work involving the relationships between humans and extra
large animals.  Some of which are too awe-inspiring for words.  The images are printed on plant paper and
hang from thin wires in the large stacks of cargo containers presently housed on the Hudson River in Manhattan.
Completely made of reusable materials, the museum will move to Los Angeles next before making stops in Beijing and the
Vatican later on.  I’m heading there when it gets to Los Angeles.
