Steves the Younger Hits Europe

Always one for an interesting angle on things, Worldhum’s Jim Benning talks to
the 18-year old son of travel guru Rick Steves as the junior heads off to Europe with a friend this summer.

This will be the younger Steves’ first solo trip to Europe (although unlike most of us when we did our first solo
trip, he’s actually been there a dozen or so times before), and Benning hurls some interesting questions at the nascent
vagabond. One of the more hiliarious questions is whether the son will carry along dad’s guidebooks. Want the answer?
Dad’s books, says Steves the Younger, are for retirees. Sure he’ll bring one to pleaes th eold man, but he will be
toting Let’s Go for practical use.
