Tartan Podcast

Mark, who doesn’t give his full name for some odd reason, lives and works in Glasgow, Scotland with his wife and two
kids. Along with running a wee window and office cleaning business, he is also an avid podcaster seeking to
single-handedly bring Scottish music to the masses. Marks’ site,
tartanpodcast bills itself as “the 1st music-based podcast hosted and
produced in Scotland”. I have no way of knowing if that is true. But it doesn’t really matter, does it. The point is
that this is one of those great examples of little guys out there making their causes known, in this case taking on the
world’s abysmal understanding of plaid music. I found these podcasts to be a real hoot. A bit amateurish, but isn’t
that the point? Give a listen and enhance your understanding of the
Scottish sound.
