From our sister site Luxist comes the opportunity to buy
your own 700-pound, 75-foot Mickey Mouse statue. What would you do with such a thing? I have no idea. Turns out that 75
of the monster statues were made and have been on tour since 2003. They will be auctioned by Sotheby’s in New York on
September 27, 2005. One interesting thing is that every statue was individually decorated by famous Disney artists,
actors, musicians or athletes (which one did Kurt Russell do?).
Again, I have no who would buy one of these things, or why but…wait a minute,
there is one fellow who might be interested. Let’s see if he still has any
money come bidding time.
