You’re heading out with your tent and stove
and browsing through your favorite camping guide for the state you’re in. Great. That works. But of course there are
lots of amazing camping resources online.
Among them, and for starters, you should check out REI.com’s site, which is great
for gear, but also has a lot of good advice on how to
plan your
trip. For articles on camping from the American Camping Association, you can check out the articles in
Camping Magazine. They’ re pretty good for general camping
stuff, not great for real advice. A much better resource is Backpacker
Magazine and, of course, GORP.com. For campground reviews, check out
about.com’s campground site and
ecampsite‘s list of sites.
This is a good start, but if anyone has a killer camping Web site to pass along, please do.
