Here’s another event for California folks…surfers and extreme sports fans, especially.
The Honda US Open of Surfing and Beach Games presented by
O’Neill kicks off on July 24 as it has for decades in Huntington Beach at the Huntington Beach Pier.
This is a major surfing event, as anyone who follows the sport knows. They’ve been holding it since 1959,
and it is considered ”the Grand Daddy of all North American action sports events”…or at least of surfing
events. It attracts thousands of people, and this year will likely be no exception when it comes to big crowds. If
you live in So Cal, or are planning a visit, you should check this out. It is a true glimpse of modern
California culture.
