I recently wrote a piece about the
town of Cesky Krumlov in the Czech Republic, where some friends and I canoed the weirs and had a blast doing it. In the
course of some research, I found this site
that has some decent videos on the town, as well as videos on a whole ton of places around the world. The videos
are kinda basic, very old-school newsy, but not half bad.
If you are planning a trip somewhere or looking for ideas for a trip, this is a good place to explore, as the videos
cover history, things to do, and give a nice low-down on what a particular town is all about. The videos are hosted by
Bea Broda Connolly, a perky blond Canadian travel
journalist. At the very least, I like the fact that this kind of thing is now being done on the Web.
