Garma Festival in Australia

The Garma Festival is widely considered one of Australia’s most
impressive indigenous festivals, and celebrates the culture of the aboriginal people of north east Arnhem Land, people
called the Yolngu. Some say that Yolngu practice one of the oldest living cultures on earth, stretching back over
40,000 years. This year’s Garma Festival takes place starting tomorrow, August 5 until August 9, in an area with
specatular views of the Gulf of Carpentaria, and attracts tourists and indigenous peoples throughout the Northern
Territory.
