Had to hit the map when I heard mention of Curacao’s first annual
Cuisine, Culture & Heritage Festival was happening from August 15 – October 15, 2005. For some reason the little Dutch
Caribbean island didn’t stick out. Along with Bonaire, I suppose the two islands found in the lesser
Antilles both get lost in the mind of the average traveler, but the tourism board is looking to give all
prospective visitors a very good reason to visit the country. Food. Lots of food for the tasting and tons of
discounts at several restaurants participating in the festival over the next two months. Having 40 very unique cultures
present in the island means a wide variety of meals to choose from and culinary walking tours every Tuesday morning to
keep from packing on the pounds.
Travel Video Television News provides most of the
details on the event, but you’ll want to visit the event
site to gather them all and start planning your trip.
