More green news today. Luxury Eco, a new line of eco-conscious
couture crafted by Linda Loudermilk will be introduced to the fashion elite during New York’s Fashion Week on
September 8th. Word has already spread like wildfire and for those who can afford the expensive
well-thought pieces or just taking in the likes of fashion week should try to find a way inside the
venue. Linda is onto something special and haute! Ultimately, luxury eco is for the person that wants to cruise the
streets in a Lexus, but make it a hybrid or own the deluxe house and heat it with solar energy. When it comes to the
clothing, it’s about using recycled soda bottles, sustainable netting and organic cotton jersey to create super pricey
earth-loving garments.
This event which will showcase the Spring of 06′ line is invitation only, so unless you’re an incredibly amazing
poser or know the right fashionistas don’t count on making this one part of your NYC fashion adventure. There
are several other catwalks to prowl during the week (Sept 9-16) so don’t get discouraged yet. Check out the
NY Times for more detailed information on designers,
venues, etc.
