Travel Gig: Love Bus Tour

While at the beach this weekend, I got to hang out with some of the
Sobe Love Bus Tour crew, and learned a bit more about this intense travel
job. Just read the profiles of the Northeast Team
coordinators that I met. They are obviously stoked about getting paid to travel, and fast becoming
experts at it. But it can be very tough work and long hours too. The Northeast Love Bus
“agents” cover 14 states on their tour, which they’ve been driving through in their Wanderlust bus since
Spring. There are five other crews around the nation doing the same thing, spreading Sobe love for eight to ten
months at a time.

This “mobile marketing” seems like an excellent travel gig if you are laid-back, flexible and willing to
roll with the punches. (The buses are NOT air-conditioned, but there are always thirst quenchers like
No Fear or Adrenaline Rush
around to cool the drivers down :-) They don’t have to sleep on them either.

Of course, this job lends itself best to younger folks who have not yet bought their first home or started a
family. You can actually make decent money, and if you save it up, could use it to continue on the road
when the tour ends and do some additional traveling on your own.
