Hitchhike on a Cane Toad

A year or so ago, I came across an odd documentary on Netflix and decided, what the heck,
I’ll get it. It was called Cane Toads and it was one of the more
unique and quirky and informative documentaries I’ve seen in a while. Who knew that cane Toads, or any toads or
amphibians for that matter could possibly be so interesting?

Well, they are. Cane toads are monstrous, irritable things, beasts, really,
who lumber all over Australia and, as we learn in
this piece
, actually travel by road. And not only that, they are moving much faster than people previously thought.
Researchers tracked the toads with GPS devices and discovered that they are moving up to 10 to 20 kilometers a
year.
