Travel Photo Tips

Last month, Dave Johnson at PC World shared creative photography tips for traveling digital camera users.
Read this and
this to get the details and see examples of the
methods he describes. Here is a quick rundown of his suggestions:

– Avoid unoriginal “postcard shots”

– Shoot panoramas

– Weave people into pixs

– Include yourself in photos

– Start a photo tradition

– Look for unexpected details

– Take night shots

Funny, I noticed as I read this that I have been practicing some of Johnson’s tips without even realizing it.
Including myself in shots is something I love doing on the road, especially since I do lots of solo travel. It’s fun to
come up with innovative ways to include myself as traveler/photographer in the shot. Any other creative tips from our
Gadling roving camera crew?
