A founder and former member of the Expedition 360 team
has written a book about
his last leg of the still-in-progress human powered journey ’round the world.
Stevie Smith began the ambitious journey
from the UK with his friend Jason Lewis in 1994. The cycled through Europe, crossed the Atlantic in a purpose-built
pedal boat (111 days), cycled and skated across the US, and then pedalled the Pacific from San Francisco to Hilo, HI
(54 days), arriving in the fall of 1998.
