We all know opposites attract. They hope to prove the concept in Providence, Rhode Island on October 29 with the
staging of Waterfire, a series of 100 bonfires blazes that will burn and flicker
(and perhaps die out) just above the surface of the three rivers that pass through downtown Providence. All the pyros,
I mean kids, will gather as the fires illuminate the local public spaces, parks and the windows of
Starbucks.
This might actually be a pretty cool thing to see. Not that Providence is the ultimate destination, but it might be
kind of neat to take a stroll along the river while listening to classical and world music and watching fires burn.
