Google Earth Uncovers Roman Villa

Did you hear about the computer programmer who
discovered an ancient Roman villa under his home near
Parma? Thanks to the technology of Google Earth, Luci Mori noticed unusual
shapes on the satellite images that were confirmed to be the remnants of a villa that was probably built before Christ.
This post has more info, plus a link
to Mori’s blog, which is written in Italian, and wasn’t loading properly for me, but maybe you’ll have better luck. I
don’t follow Google Earth closely because I work on a Mac, and my understanding is it only works on Windows. Anyone
know if there are plans for a Mac version? I’d like to discover ancient ruins from my desktop too.
