Sunday is reading day for me…and I just keeping finding new travel book releases to share. Here is one more post,
another double scoop, this time from the same publisher, our friends at Travelers
Tales. (See Erik’s podcast with TT’s James O’Reilly
for more about the company.)
Travelers Tales has published a successful series of
destination guides for over ten years now. Their
collections gather the best true tales from travelers for each of the destinations they cover, providing a package of
unique perspectives on a particular place that are perfect for before, after or during a journey.
They have recently re-released two titles. The Japan book
was edited by Amy Greimann Carlson and Don George (see Erik’s
podcast with Don too!), and you can sneak a peek at his
story about Japanese cherry blossoms. The
Hawaii book was edited by husband and wife team Rick and Marcie Carroll, and the TT site includes
Larry Habegger’s story about his visit to Hana.
Both books retail for $18.95 and if you have interest in or are planning to visit either of these locations, it will be
money well spent to get a copy.
