Just when you thought the bad travel news was done with,
I’ve discovered a story that might
ruffle a few people’s feathers or give you a giggle. The folks at Taco
XPress down in South Austin, Texas must have had a horrifying experience walking up to the establishment to find the
arms of the beloved statue chopped off. The news is a little dated, but the vandals apparently hacked off the arms on
September 14, 2005 and called a local newspaper to boast about Taco Maria’s “liposuction” job. ‘Monster Maria’ better
known as ‘Taco Maria’ is actually a statue of the owner Maria Corbalan. Sick, sick people in the world!
