CoolFuel RoadTrip

Piggybacking on Erik’s
post about the State of Travel TV here’s my two cents…and
another travel show! I can only comment on what I read about, because I rarely get to watch any of these shows. But I
can weigh in on which ones sound like they are worth the cost of salaries and production crews.

I vote NO for the ultra-embarassing Tara, but a big YES for
Bourdain and
Ray (I enjoy the food/travel combos very much). And here’s
another one that our brother blog Autoblog pointed to a
few days ago, and was also mentioned by our green pals at
Treehugger this morning:

Coolfuel Roadtrip showcases a 16,000 mile cross country trek without
a single drop of gasoline! Cool eco-travel TV, I like it. If the show was even airing in my state, I’d attempt to watch
(check here to see if it’s showing near you). But
this is a perfect example of the kind of travel show that makes sense to me — educational and thought-provoking, often
challenging us to think about our daily habits and how they impact our world.
