Vagablog

Quite a few of the major national newspapers are running interesting online travel blogs. I wrote about WAPO’s
Russian Chronicles last week, and I’ve got another from
them to mention today.

Vagablog is
the online journal of Meredith and Cindy Bragg, who wanted to celebrate their ten year relationship in a memorable way.
Instead of planning a special extended vacation, they went full throttle into the vagabonding world — they quit their
jobs, sold their house, and are traveling for a year on the profits.

The Braggs started out in Europe, then drove
11,000 miles in
their hatchback
across the northern US and Canada. On September 30, they
began leg two of their US tour,
which has taken them south from VA to Nashville and Memphis. They are currently in
Oklahoma traveling the historic Route
66. I’m a bit of a sucker for these traveling
couple stories — It’s a fantastic way to strenthen (and/or
test!!) a couple’s partnership, while sharing all sorts of
incredible memories too. Follow along to see where this one leads them next.
