This thing is almost too bizarre. I just saw this at Luxist. It is a massive,
dish-shaped monitor that gives new meaning to immersive browsing. The
VisualStation allows you to surf the Web, play Halo,
or check out cool panos (!), while being virtually surrounded by your screen.
It’s not the highest resolution in the world (just 1400×1050, which seems small given the size of the thing), so I
suspect the overall experience might be a bit disappointing. But it would still be cool to test drive the thing to see
for yourself. But that’s probably unlikely, since it runs some $20,000. The kind of thing only a true geek (one who
cashed out his stock options) could love.
